Editorial Review for AMC Theatres – by Mary Morley

In Short
In 1920, Edward Durwood opened a single-screen picture house in Kansas City, Mo. Over the next 40 years, his company went on to pioneer the use of four- and six-screen theaters. In 1969, the company incorporated as American Multi-Cinema Inc. in honor of its signature multiplexes. Now, the company is known for theaters with 14 or more screens, as well as innovations such as armrests with built-in cup holders, stadium seating with LoveSeats, ATM-style ticketing and online ticket purchasing.

I am not sure what the others were thinking....I have never had a bad experience there. My husband and I go there to see first run movies on opening weekends and have no problems getting in:-) the concessions are great and the staff friendly and perky... I recommend this for anyone.

Pros: easy of seeing first weekend movies

Cons: can't think of any

The mall of america has the most uncomfortable seating of any theater that I've ever been to. However, I do like to go there because they show movies a later time than any other.

Pros: late showtimes, good management

Cons: uncomfortable seats, rude box office emplo
