The gorgeous curved bar, crystal chandeliers, designer white sofas and that famous wall of windows overlooking Loring Park create a contemporary, edgy atmosphere. The chic crowd is brand-conscious and noisy, constantly on cell phones as they nosh on fresh oysters, cheese plates or wine-infused baby burgers or sip creative cocktails as they wait for a table at the adjoining cafe. A wall of wines features more than 30 decently priced glass pours, plus 2-ounce tastes.

Ok, this is one of the more pretentious places in town but I still love it here. I very much like the privacy of the back patio and the delicious food (the little burgers/fries are fantastic)! I think the service is fairly top-notch; albeit a bit on the slow end at times. Drinks are spendy and sometimes WEAK yet other times STRONG! That could be fine tuned especially at this cost. The blonde manager (I think) was kind of an eeyore but what restaurant doesn't have one of these? I think she took offense to us talking to the serving assistant. WHATEVER!

I've been to Lurcat for many occasions & everytime I head up those stairs, the atmosphere transforms into something so mystical. Although I am not a huge fan of the formal dining area, I am however, always breathtaken by the alluring bar/lounge area. The seating is arranged to cater to everyone's needs, whether you have a large/small group or that you want to sit back & enjoy the music or even be outside. There is also an area for a little more intimacy and tables for 2 are tucked away in corners under glistening chandeliers and peaking views of the city. Lurcat is the ideal place for drinks, savory finger foods and late night conversations.
