We, as a family, have our favorites. Not one of the six are the same. What is the same is the flavor!! I suggest you start with an ice cold beverage and angus bites. We all agree on these. Then for entrees my sons pick is the ribs, EVERYTIME!!! My other son the delisious build your own satisifingly large burger. My husband is a steak or walley and myself the chicken alfreado with veggies or stuffed chicken breast. We all love the warm bread and maple butter, not to mention the famous green beans!! You must take the beautiful drive and enjoy a delicious meal. The two little ones like the kids spagetti and chicken strips and their favorite the complimentary merry go round and build your own soft serve sundae. Makes for a great family night out.

Pros: Atmosphere, menu and flavor.

Over the past couple years my husband and I have dined at Sal’s approximately once a month on Wednesday for the walleye special. Our general experience is that the food and/or service is inconsistent . But we have continued to come, hoping for the best. After our last experience we may not bother again. We came with a friend, hoping it would be one of the better nights. It was not. We arrived at around 8 PM, thinking this was not cutting it too close. The service was not the worst ever, but certainly not stellar. The problem seemed to be in the kitchen. Our initial serving of walleye was pretty small. My husband and friend had to get three re-fills; the portions were so small they were joking about getting sunfish fillets. We initially got tartar sauce, but when we requested more were informed that they were out. We were aware the kitchen closed at 9 and did not tarry. Nonetheless, it was 9 PM by the time we left. About 8:45 several waitresses came out and started slamming chairs on the tables throughout the entire room, including the tables right next to ours. Were they in such a hurry to get home they couldn’t wait until we were gone? My husband forgot his hat, so we had to return about 9:30 and I noticed one or more waitresses sitting at the bar. I wrote a letter to the owner and got no response. It must be nice that they have so many patrons that they can afford to get rid of a few.

Pros: Nice location and decor

Cons: See review

The food is average but the prices are high. Service was okay. The best part about this place was the journey getting there and the beautiful decor.

Pros: Nice Decor

Cons: Far Drive
